FREAK Entertainment opens fifth venue, in prime Surfers Paradise location

We are proud to announce the opening of FREAK Entertainment’s fifth venue, FREAK Surfers Paradise!


Located in the renowned Paradise Centre on Cavill Avenue, attracting an impressive 13.1 million tourists annually, FREAK Surfers Paradise spans an impressive 195m² and features two flagship free roam Arena’s, VR Escape Rooms, FREAK Drive racing simulators, and a VR Arcade. FREAK also joins other popular tenants like Timezone, Zone Bowling, El Camino Mexican Cantina, and Maniax Axe Throwing. The new venue also presents a number of cross-promotional opportunities with our indoor skydiving venue, iFLY Gold Coast, located just a short walk away.


We are also excited to announce the launch of game-changing, innovative technology at FREAK Surfers Paradise, with the venue becoming the first fully-wireless and untethered FREAK location! This technology advancement removes the need for backpack computers, offering an enhanced customer experience, wider audience accessibility, and improved customer throughput.


Application of this wireless and untethered technology cements FREAK’s commitment to delivering world-class experiences, and is made possible through strategic partnerships with HP and HTC Vive cultivated over the last 3 years.

The capital raise will support the company’s immediate strategy of Repair, Growth and Diversification.

In conjunction with the sale of its Perth facility and the material reduction in interest bearing debt, the company is now focused on increasing operational performance, new business streams, reducing costs and paying down its remaining debt.

Western Sydney local, Amy Watson, started indoor skydiving for her 9th birthday. Now, just 4 years later, she is a WORLD CHAMPION! In Lile France, in April 2019, Amy competed in and won the Junior Freestyle category of the World Indoor Skydiving Championships. This makes her the youngest indoor skydiving World Champion in history, and Australia’s first!

Just like Amy, anyone can join the sport and we invite kids of all ages and abilities to try out the exciting, adrenaline pumping, and totally awesome experience of flying these holidays.

Bring the family or bring friends and prepare to be blown away. We can’t wait to see everyone flying soon!

iFLY Gold Coast Celebrates First Birthday

50,000 Ear Plugs and counting!

Time certainly has flown with the Gold Coasts most unique tourist attraction; iFLY Indoor Skydiving Gold Coast; set to celebrate its first birthday on Saturday 11th February by hosting a Birthday Open Day kicking off from 9am.

iFLY Gold Coast has certainly proven to be incredibly popular with the local community and visiting tourists’, comments Indoor Skydive Australia CMO, Brett Sheridan ‘since opening the doors we have been sold out most weeks; and have started to see regulars come back three, four, five times!.

Since taking off, iFLY Gold Coast has:

  • Had 1 marriage proposal
  • Been through 200 flight suits
  • Used over 50,000 ear plugs
  • Flown over 300 kids under 5 years old, 40 of which are only 3
  • Flown 108 people over the age of 70 with the oldest flyer 91 years old
  • Trained a Junior Flyer to become 4th in Freestyle Flying Internationally
  • Flown 1 surfboard and various blow up pool toys
  • Holds 1 x Guinness World Record Title for Most 360 horizontal spins in a wind tunnel (individual) by 11 year old Amy Watson
  • Won Best New Tourism Business in Queensland (Silver) at QLD Tourism Awards
  • Hosted various international and local celebrities including Mark Ruffalo, Idris Elba, Caine Ec
  • kstein, Sekai No Hate Made LtteQ! (International Game Show), various V8 Supercar drivers, PGA Tour Players, and more!

With music, face-painting, food and of course flying demonstrations; this is a day for everyone to get the chance to see iFLY Gold Coast up close!

Special guest; local celebrity magician Matt Hollywood will also be performing from 12pm.
